9:30 pm - Desperatly Seeking Draco

Having wandered around for a few hours, Crabbe was bored. More bored than usual, the kinda bored were watching paint dry would be an amazing experience. Suddenly looking at one of the open arched windows he couldnt believe what he saw. Attempting to creep forward he lunged forward catching the small creature. Quickly wrapping it up in his robes, he ran down the corridor narrowly missing Professor Snape. He continued to run looking desperately for Draco so he could show off what he had found.

Running towards the outside he spotted Draco with who he thought was Luna, but wasnt really sure. Running foward he shouted DRACO before tripping and rolling the last few feet stopping at Draco's feet.

" Here look what i found... its cool.." Crabbe grinned up at Draco then unwrapped his robe.

8:39 pm - Wandering

Draco left the Slytherin Common room, leaving all the sniggering Slytherins behind as he tried to clear his head. So many thoughts were running through his head before he stopped in front of the great hall, his eyes looked to his stomach as it grumbled loudly. He hadn't eaten much since the train, his mother had thrown a mild panic attack and literally dragged him out by his collar, he shook his head as he remembered his not so pleasant morning. He had always thought parents were supposed to shower their kids with love, make them breakfast but apparently he had not been born lucky in that way.

A lot of people would say he was lucky but little did they know, shaking his head he walked through the doors leading to the great hall. Taking a deep breath, he tucked his hair behind his ears before his face became unreadable and he began to stalk confidently down the small passageways seperating the different tables. His eyes glanced around the great hall, seeing if he could see anyone he knew.

5:35 pm - Hogwarts Dorms

Luna looked around her rectangular room which she had slept in for the past 4 years. Nothing much had changed there were four four poster beds two on each side of the room each decorated with beautiful deep blue drapes and bedding. At the far end of the room was a small open fire giving the room a warm and welcoming glow. She gently unfolded her things and placed her other robes into the wardrobe. As she finished unpacking her last item out of her suitcase she notice a desk with a computer on top of it. She moved closer to take a closer look at it..it was almost identical to the one she had at home..she assumed it was for her to continue her journals and to her muggle project on.

Luna gazed at the clock to see that it was 3.30 in the afternoon..knowing that it was not lunch time she went down to the great hall to see if there were any people she could go and say hello too..

6:26 pm - The Train To Hogwarts

Luna woke up as the alarm clock beside her beeped a tune by the Weird Sisters. She turned it off and rubbed her eyes until they came into focus. She looked at her Hogwart robes and gave a gentle sigh and tried to smile but all that came out was one that was nervous and shy. How was she going to cope this year when most people saw her as someone weird and this year was more important, it was her OWL year she needed to do well for what she wanted to do in her life. She wanted to work for the Department of Mysteries. Her slight glimpse of that place was fascinating to her and full of items that her family had theorised for years but never had found the evidence to back it up. What she saw was the proof that she wasnt crazy at all and that her parents were simply ahead of their time. But for her to have a career with the ministry she needed lots of Outstandings in both her OWLs and NEWTs.

A thought suddenly cropped through her mind she cant wear her school robes as she was catching a taxi to Charing Cross Station. She changed into her ordinary clothes then took her luggage all the way down to bottom floor into the Leaky Cauldron. She gave the Owner a tip for his kind hospitality and then continued to walk outside of the building into the Muggle world. She quite easily called from a pay phone box a taxi number and then paid the driver Muggle money. Luna never had a problem with this as her parents had both brought her up in both the magical and muggle world.

She carefully leaned on the entrance at Charing Cross Station waiting for people to look away or walk away from what they were doing before stepping backwards through the wall and into Platform 9 3/4. She let out a big yelp as she bumped into....

10:17 am - School

Cho woke up on the sunny first day of September to her mirror shouting at her. "Get up, dear! You're going to miss the train!" It waited some..."UP WITH YOU! NOW! IT'S ALMOST HALF PAST TEN!" At these words, Cho sat bolt upright as the mirror grumbled, "Oh, now you're up, after I've already got a sore throat." Cho glared at it as she shook her head. What had it said? Half past ten?! "Oh no!" she exclaimed. Cho rushed around once again throwing things haphazardly into her trunk...now where had she left her dressing gown? She got to her feet and strode quickly down the hall of the upstairs of the Leaky Cauldron, towards the only bathroom on the floor. Perhaps she'd left it in there after she'd taken her bath the night before. Aha! There it was, hanging right behind the door. "Right," she thought, "now I've only got to pack my books, run down to the shops and get some new quills and ink, and then I'll be ready." Cho hated to be late for anything, and this was one of those things that she honestly couldn't be late for. On the way back to her room, she greeted Luna in passing who was apparently already making her way downstairs for breakfast, lugging her trunk backwards towards the stairs. Once in her room, Cho stacked her books into her trunk, took one last gaze around, and decided she was all packed (aside from what she needed to get, of course). She would have done it yesterday, but that trip to London with her aunt was just spectacular. It was amazing, in fact. She had gotten her hair done at a Muggle salon...it was interesting, to say the least. Cho thought that she could have done a better job with her own wand than the woman had done with all those instruments, but the experience was well worth it. Suddenly, and idea sprang into Cho's head as her stomach began to rumble. She could (technically speaking) kill two birds with one stone if she called the Inn's house-elf to do her errand for her. She could eat breakfast, and still get her quills and ink. "Jinkley!" she called as she peeped her head out the door. She turned her head both ways to look up and down the hall. "Jinkley!" called Cho once more. Suddenly the little creature came scampering down the hall, an eager, yet hurried expression on his face. "Yes, miss. Jinkley is here, miss. What can Jinkley do for miss this morning?" he squeaked. "Jinkley, thank goodness you're here. I need you to go down to the shops for me and get me two goose feather quills and five bottles of purple ink," said Cho as she pulled 4 galleons and 12 sickles out of her pocket and handed them to the elf, "can you do that for me? I would do it myself, but I'm in a terrible rush and I'm absolutely starving." The elf nodded its head vigorously up and down with a large grin, so much so that Cho almost thought that his head might fall off and roll away. "Yes miss, of course Jinkley can! Jinkley will be back in a flash with your things, miss!" And with a crack like a whip and a tiny wisp of smoke, he was gone. With one last swipe of her brush through her ebony hair, Cho turned to get her trunk and go down the stairs, when a sudden *CRACK* startled her. "Jinkley is back, miss!" squeaked the little elf as he held out a green paper bag to her. "Thank you very much Jinkley," said Cho sweetly, as she packed the bag away and shut her trunk. As she lugged it down the stairs, she thought "When he said 'back in a flash' he wasn't kidding. What an efficient little house-elf." Cho scarfed down some toast and jam while her Aunt prepared to take her to King's Cross and see her off.

When they were safely on platform 9 3/4 (with three minutes to spare) Cho hugged her aunt and they said their goodbyes. She spotted a familiar head of blonde hair stalking off towards a compartment door. She put her trunk into the train and ran off to greet Draco.

5:11 pm - Quidditch Playing

Draco felt Luna grabbed a hold of his arm and he supressed a smile, everyone was usually so scared or afraid to touch him. It was nice in an odd sort of way to have someone who wasn't like that, and didn't seem to be judging him," Yes, don't want to miss the mischief he might be getting into!" Shaking his head vigorously he walked through the alley with Luna on his arm looking for Cho, Ginny and Crabbe. Draco paused for a moment, trying to think where the best place would be to play Quidditch and quickly turned in that direction hoping they might bump into them.

6:18 pm

Luna left the group sitting around the table and walked away in a hurried rush. She felt awkard sitting there listening to them all going on about quidditch. Maybe she was the only 15 year old who wasnt into quidditch. The kind inn owner had put all her belongings in her room...Luna sat on the edge of the four poster bed and took in her surroundings. It was decorated in a Slytherin green colour and the bedding was made of a crushed silver bedding material. She lay back and let out a gentle sigh last year had been fun and for once in her life she felt accepted by her peers but now it felt like it had all changed to what it was like before...would she always be seen as Loony Loopy Lovegood, an outsider?? She quickly unpacked the things she needed out and picked up her letter from Hogwarts before rushing out into the bustling streets.

12:24 pm

Ron laid in bed at noon, twiddling his thumbs. The past few days had been boring ones--not to mention the fact that Hermione was still gone. He looked up at the ceiling and counted the number of holes in it from his wand being tossed in the air and sticking.

He yawned, sighed, and closed his eyes again, silently wishing for someone--anyone--to walk in.

12:50 pm

Ginny Weasley stood in front of the fireplace at the Burrow, nervously fiddling with the hem of her shirt. Once again, she held the old flowerpot full of Floo powder in one hand. But this time, it was different. She wasn't going to visit Fred and George; she wasn't going to happen to bump into Luna or Cho or anyone else. This time, Ginny was actually going to someone's house, and she was rather nervous about it. She clutched a small Muggle plant (a geranium, she thought it was called) in her other hand as a sort of hostess gift for Mrs. Finnigan, and she was wearing her best summer clothes.

Of course, Dean was going to be there, too, so that was another reason she wanted to look her best.

With a deep breath, Ginny tossed some Floo powder into the fire, stepped into the green flames, and shouted, "The Finnigans' residence!" She clung tightly to the Muggle plant as she spun, and it was still clutched safely in her arms as she landed hard on the Finnigans' kitchen floor. Straightening her clothes and hair, Ginny called uncertainly, "Erm, Seamus? Dean? Is someone home?"

6:45 pm

Ginny nervously stood before the fireplace in the kitchen at the Burrow. She'd never gone out of the village without her parents' permission before, but there was a very low risk of being caught. Besides, she was bored stiff. Throwing the Floo powder into the fire and stepping into the green flames, she shouted, "Diagon Alley!" Once the ensuing spinning sensation had stopped, Ginny found herself thudding down onto the floor of the Leaky Cauldron. The bartender, Tom, threw her a bit of a reproachful look, but she didn't care. She was finally out of the house!

Humming to herself, Ginny tapped the proper brick in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron and entered Diagon Alley. She jogged along the cobbled path, reading the numbers on the shop fronts, until she finally stopped before a small shop. The blue paint on the window frames was flaking and peeling, and the door had clearly been repaired a number of times. But it was the greatest place in the world to Ginny, because two identical heads of what was unmistakably Weasley hair were distinctly visible through the gleaming window. Beaming, she pushed open the door to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes.

2:32 pm - Knight Bus

Luna walked onto the Knight Bus and paid the driver the seven sickles to get to Diagon Alley. She had only just sat down when the bus went with a huge bang and went rushing forward. Poor Luna nearly fell off her seat in shock it felt more like being on a galloping horse than a bus.. She was glad though when the ride was over and she could finally walk off the bus. Her head was spinning she only just managed to get through the wall of Diagon Alley before collapsing in the dizzyness. She giggled as she tried to pick up all the items that she had dropped. She looked up dreamily at the person who had picked up...

10:08 pm

It was another early morning in Ottery St. Catchpole, and at least one person was awake. As Ginny Weasley came jogging back into the Burrow and poured herself a glass of water, she considered the options before her. She was getting a little tired of hanging around the house all the time; it had been novel and given her the sense of power at first, but some of the fun was definitely wearing off. Beginning her post-jog stretch, the bottom cupboard caught Ginny's eye. It was the cupboard where the flowerpot with the Floo powder was stored, and it gave her an idea. "Brilliant!" she muttered to herself. Straightening up again, she ran up to the fifth floor, entered Ron's room, unlocked Pigwidgeon's cage, and let the twittering little owl follow her eagerly down to her room on the third floor. Her brother would never know she'd used his owl; Pig would be back before Ron was.

Ginny scrawled the following words on a scrap of parchment:

Owl to Fred and George WeasleyCollapse )

Ginny smiled as she waved Pigwidgeon, bearing the small piece of parchment, out of the window.

2:30 pm

Pansy continued on her way down the cobbled street, occasionally glancing into shops that held her interest. It wasn't that she was jealous of Cho and Draco's pleasant conversation, per se, but she was a bit hacked off, even if she wouldn't admit to it. She had never seen Draco give the time of day to a Ravenclaw before, and it was a bit abnormal, to say the least. Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs were never lingual with Slytherin's, but Ravenclaws were in a bit of a gray area.

Incontestably, it was a problem for Pansy.

Returning to her incessant journey away from Draco, Cho, and their pleasantries, her heel became wedged into a particularly large gap between two cobble stones.

"Oof!" she sputtered as she fell to the ground, simultaneously catching her stocking on a rough piece of wood that had detached itself from it's cart.

"Fuck," she screamed, pulling her stocking towards her in a blunderous manner, wenching the piece of wood from the tangled nylon and standing upright, brushing herself off. In an act of frustration, she kicked out towards the cart, dislodging it from it's stance and sending it tumbling over, spilling out all the dragon eyes it was containing.

"Sod off," Pansy mumbled towards the cart and the spilled contents as she stepped around the eyes and rushed away from the scene.

2:00 am - Continuation Of Diagon Alley

OOC : I thought seeing as Crabbe's post is getting lost down there, it might be easier to start a new one here :)

Draco glanced at Cho, he wondered what she was thinking and why she had actually talked to him like a human being. Many people saw his second name or his behaviour and instantly decided they didn't want anything to do with him, moving out of the way of someone carrying something he turned back around meeting Cho's gaze before he smiled nervously at her, Why was he nervous? He had never been nervous in his whole life! Why now? Shaking his head he growled as a strand of hair fell over his eyes and he now spent his time occupied with attempting to blow it out of the way, trust his hair when he finally let it out of its gelled state to cause him problems!

9:02 pm - Diagon Alley

Luna Lovegood woke up to the morning hoots of her owl with a message from Ginny Weasley. She gently unties the note from his leg before feeding him a treat and putting him on his perch. She screams as she looks at the clock another late start she was suppose to wake up over an hour ago. After a quick wash and change into her favourite purple robes she runs downstairs to greet her father and have breakfast. It was a quiet breakfast as both were in a dream like state (family trate) Luna was dreaming about going to Diagon Alley a welcome change from the norm and all the freedoms that any 15 year old would want without her prying father looking over her all the time. She couldnt wait to be reunited with her friends again who all seemed to be going to Diagon Alley early too. As she finished breakfast she went outside with her trunk and held out her hand. A huge bang was heard and the purple Knight bus appeared...

Fights in chatrooms weren't realistic unless they were written in something vaguely reminiscent of English. That's why Harry got up from Dudley's computer instead of staying to watch the carnage. He stumbled down the stairs and into the Dursley's deserted kitchen, bright with molded countertops and pale curtains. He felt his face, which was stale as straw, as he had just subjected himself to two hours of radiation from Dudley's PC. Someone had once told him he best beware Muggle appliances, but he hadn't taken them seriously at the time. Now he saw: those things were dangerous. Once they had you, they never let go. Harry guessed that Muggles needed something like those gadgets to threaten their sanity when needed, as they had no dementors accessible.

He turned on the water, catching it in fistfuls before smearing it into his eyes. He did it again with a carelessness out of character for a Hogwarts seeker, and he straightened his legs as an afterthought. As he dried his face, he hunted for his reflection in the mirror on the far wall. He found it, flowered and dainty and high, for his aunt had a long neck and didn't want to slouch to check her face.

The mirror was brutal. He had splotches of red strain under each eye, unusually brown lips and a few wet strands of hair that clung to his forehead, which he wrung with his sleeve. It was time to start thinking ahead, he realized. It was the only way he could pull himself out of the "relaxation time" he had let himself take. It wasn't a pleasure anymore. Too much of anything is liable to get on one's nerves, he thought. Hogwarts was a balance of both study and light activity. The important thing about it was that he was always active. When he was active, he felt better, smarter, more vital than when he was not. He needed to find some way to imitate the Hogwarts schedule.

He heard the knob rattling and the clumsy guffaws of his cousin Dudley. Harry didn't feel like a battle today. Without bothering to dry his hands, he sprinted up the stairs, meaning to find something exciting to do when he reached the top.

Seamus was watching telly when he heard a tapping noise at the window. Sighing, he got up to let the owl in. Realizing that the note was from Dean, he grinned.

Seamus rummaged around in his desk for parchment and a quill. He wrote back to Dean, inviting him to stay at his house for the rest of the summer.
